Katie helps clients navigate real estate matters including financing, leasing, and acquisitions and dispositions. She works with lenders to negotiate and document financing transactions, and advises businesses and private equity firms on the purchase and sale of companies with significant real estate assets.

Known for masterfully managing details in even the most complex transactions, Katie is creative in her approach to problem solving, and collaborates with clients in seeing a project through from start to finish.

Prior to joining Carlson Black, Katie practiced in the Chicago office of an international firm, where she represented lenders in CMBS and balance sheet loans on hospitality, self-storage, and retail properties, and assisted businesses with mergers and acquisitions involving real estate properties.
