Daniel's practice focuses on business and tax law issues, including state and federal income tax, international tax, mergers and acquisitions, New Market tax credit (NMTC) financing, and state sales tax concerns. Clients value Daniel's advice regarding business transactions, including his strategic counsel regarding the formation and organization of tax-exempt business entities, such as 501(c)(3) and other nonprofit organizations.
A certified public accountant (CPA), Daniel also advises clients on federal and multi-state income tax compliance, tax-exempt entity compliance, and insurance compliance matters. Through his knowledge of and partnership with Wisconsin insurance companies, Daniel has established a strong working relationship with the Wisconsin Office of the Commission of Insurance.
